Sagarmatha (Everest) Three High Passes Trek

The Everest Three High Passes trek package provides you with an utmost spectacular snow topped high mountain scenery, experience of the Sherpa culture, and excellent tea house views of the Khumbu Himalaya of Nepal. In this trip, you can view four of the tallest peaks in the world, namely, Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Cho Oyu, (8156m).

Trekking to the base camp of Mt. Everest starts with a very exciting flight from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to the Tenzing Hillary airport in Lukla, then an uphill trek to a beautiful Sherpa settlement and the trading capital of the Khumbu region called Namche Bazar. After a one-day acclimatization in Namche Bazar, you start your trek for another two days to Dingboche (4,260m). Another two days of trek will lead to Everest base camp, passing through Gorakshep, the flat land below Kalapathar (5,545m) and Mt. Pumori.

Trekking to the Everest base camp gives you a chance to witness the lifestyle of the Sherpa people, observe the amazing and unique flora and fauna that the national park has to offer, and visit huge monasteries and museums whose existence goes very far behind the time period. The best time to trek Everest is at the beginning of September to October/ November and March to April/May.

Everest Three High Passes Trek is more difficult comparing with Everest Base Camp because you cross three high passes above 5000 meter with glaciers. You will feel yourself your in the top of the world, surrouding with a lot of mountain in four direction.

** For a walk in the Everest region it is necessary to take a flight to Lukla. Because of the small airport it is really important that the weather is good enough to fly. Only it happens more than once that the flights are canceled. You wait at the airport, some flights go and there may be a moment that cancels the rest of the flights. If you book a trekking with visionadventurenepal you will be determined how to act in this situation. There are a two options.

- You can decide to take a helicopter to Lukla and start your trek. The cost of a helicopter is about 2500 dollars and it can carry 5 to 6 people. If you choose this option, you will also be allowed to decide after how many days you want to take a helicopter when canceling the flight.

- You can decide to drive with a jeep to Salliry. It's 396 km away from Kathmandu and it takes 10 hours to drive with the jeep. The cost of a jeep is 200 dollar and it can carry 4 - 5 people. From Salliry you have to walk till Lukla, before you can start with your regular trek. Salliry to Lukla by walking takes 3 days. Also for this option you decided in the front after how many days you want to go for this option.

For both options takes into account the extra days that the salary for the guide and / or porter must be paid.
Off course visionadventurenepal is always open to deviate from your decision, if this can also be planned.
