Kanchanjunga is the third higgest mountain in the world which attract number of trekking every years for trekking in this region. Each and every years numbers of trekkers are increasing and it's getting more plastic and garbage on trekking trail.
 
We organise the first kanchanjunga cleaning campaign in 2020! As a festival every year from 30 May  June 12 from Taplajung bazzar to Kanchanjunga base camp to Taplajung bazzar.
We will provide free permit and guide who want to participate on this trip with us. We will provide gloves, garbages bag to collect garbages when we return from Kanchanjunga base camp.
All volunteer, doner, sponsher are more then welcome to help our nature clean for future. Feel free to contact us with any question.

Itinerary

Note: This Programme  is based on starting from Taplajung bazzar from 30 may. All Volunteer have to reach Taplajung bazzar on 30 may  before 5pm. We will do the smalll metting and organise the transport to Taplethok then we will head to kanchanjunga base camp by trek. 

May 30: We will meet for tea in taplajung bazzar at hotel Pathibara and stay overnight 

May 31: Drive to Tapethok from Taplajung bazzar after breakfast and trek to Sekathum (1,579m.)

June 01: Trek from Sekathum to Amjilosa (2,308m.)

June 02: Trek from  Amjilosa to Gyabla (2,730m.)

June 03: Trek from Gyabla to Ghunsa (3,435m.)

June 04: Acclimatization day in Ghunsa

June 05: Trek from Ghunsa to Khambachen (4,050m.)

June 06: Trek from Khambachen to Lhonak (4,770m.)

June07: Early morning hike from Lhonak to Pangpema / Kanchanjunga north base camp (5,140m.) We will start to collect  all garbage from Kanchanjunga base camp to lonak on the trekking trails.

June08: We will start to collect  all garbage from Lonak to Ghunsa on the trekking trails.

June 09:We will start to collect all garbage from Ghunsa to Amjilosa on the trekking trails.

June10:We will start to collect all garbage from  from Amjilosa  to Tapethok on the trekking trails.

June 11: We will start to collect all garbage from  Tapethok Chiruwa on the trekking trails.

June 12: We will start to collect garbage from Chiruwa to  Taplajung bazzar on the trekking trails.

June 13:Drive from Taplajung bazzar to illam. 

June 14: Drive from Illam to Kathmandu.

June 15: Departure for your onwards flight.

 

Price and Cost Details

$100/- per person to confirm the volunteering the cleaning campaign 

We will deduct from your transport and return after the cleaning campaign
Minimum 2 person in the group

Cost Inclusions:

  • Kanchanjunga Conservation area entre fees and all government taxes
  • Restricted area permit issued by immigration office from Kathmandu
  • All required trekking permits
  • Government licensed and experienced English speaking trekking guide
  • Insurance for guide during cleaning campaign 
  • Cleaning materials (gloves etc.) 

Cost Exclusions:

  • International airfare and travel tax
  • Nepal entry visa fee (Tourist visas are issued upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Fee is 40 USD for 30 days stay)
  • Airport pickup and drop off
  • Hotel in Kathmandu  
  • Kathmandu- Bhadrapur both way flight ticket or by bus 
  • Bhadrapur to Taplajung bazzar transport
  • Taplajung bazzar to Tapethok and return by private jeep
  • All accommodations during the trek
  • Medical/ personal travel insurance (must cover emergency evacuation cost)
  • Personal donations for schools, monasteries, churches, etc.v
  • Entrance fees for private museums, monasteries, sideshows etc.
  • Medical first aid kit
  • Personal trekking gear
  • All meals and beverages in Kathmandu and during trip
  • Personal expenses such as hot shower, telephone calls, laundry, wifi and battery charging
