The geography of Nepal is such that the northern side has the Himalayas, while the southern lowlands are densely covered with tropical forests with different species of wildlife, flora and different native as well as migratory birds. With 14 national parks and nature reserves in Nepal, Chitwan National Park, Bardiya National Park and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve are best known for jungle activity. In Chitwan National Park you are lucky to encounter rare and endangered wildlife, including the Royal Bengal tiger, a horned rhino, crocodile, four horned antelopes, striped hyena, gangetic dolphin and 550 species of birds. A whole range of activities can be enjoyed here! Explore the beautiful village of Sauraha and immerse yourself in the Tharu culture, enjoy the Tharu village walk and the culture dance in the evening. Visit the jungle by using a jeep, elephant or by walking. Take a shower with the elephant, visit the elephant center where you can see the small elephants and canoe in the river to see fish, birds and crocodiles.

Itinerary

Day 01 - Kathmandu to Chitwan

From Kathmandu take a private car to Chitwan National Park. After having the lunch, we will make a short visit over to the villages of the Tharu people of the surroundings. The night will be resting at the local hotels around the National park. Enjoy the Tharu village walk and the culture dance in the evening.

Day 02 - Full day Jungle activities

Full days Chitwan National Park Activities will start after your breakfast. You go by eliphant or jeep for jungle safari with a experienced nature guide. You can see Royal Bengal tiger, a horned rhino, crocodile, four horned antelopes, striped hyena, gangetic dolphin and 550 species of birds. Take a shower with the elephant around 10-11am after safari. After the lunch you will visit the elephant breading center where you can see the small elephants. Then you go for canoe in the river to see fish, birds and crocodiles. 

Day 03 - Bird watching and return back to Kathmandu

We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the breakfast that will be served at your hotel. After having the breakfast, we will move towards the jungles. We will have the bird watching program at the National park. After visiting the National park for a while, we will return back to the Kathmandu by private car.
